FAQ

GiveDirect charges 1% per transaction for all the features built into the platform. Credit card fees are 2.9% + $.30 per transaction. eCheck fees are $.30 per transaction. Volume discounts are available for charities processing more than $250,000 annually. There are NO hidden fees - no monthly fees, no annual fees, no chargeback fees or any other amount charged to you besides the quoted price or add-ons for which you have contracted. Additionally, most charities lower or eliminate fees by using the cover-the-fee option and encouraging contributors to add the cost of the fee to their contribution.
Absolutely. Extensive customization is available. Design assistance is offered for free. Custom event and membership forms have some elements prepared by us using your identified requirements. Our designer will work closely with you to determine your needs and offer suggestions.
Yes. The option to make a gift dedication is built into any form. GiveDirect will acknowledge the gift with the donor. The charity will acknowledge the gift with the Tributee.
Yes. The donor may select the option to make a donation recurring monthly, quarterly or annually. Recurring contributions are processed on the 15th of each month (or the next business day if the 15th is a major holiday).
The recurring option cannot be disabled on the standard donation form. However, we can set up a custom form for you that does not include a recurring option, or one that offers Monthly only or Annually only. There is no cost for this service.
Your contributors will see a shortened version of your charity's name on their statements. The merchant name will read "DON* Your Charity's Name." The DON* prefix indicates that it is a GiveDirect transaction.
You will receive an email as soon as a donation is made. From the GiveDirect Control Panel, you can view, print, and download your transactions. If you are running an integration with your CRM, the transaction will automatically be added.
You may opt for a once monthly or twice monthly plan for deposits. Deposits are sent via EFT. The most common choice is once a month. This deposit happens on or before the 10th of the month, for the previous month's donations. The twice monthly plan adds a second deposit date on the 25th. We do not send paper reports or emails, but you will see a notice on the landing page of your Control Panel on the day deposits are made. You may use the "View Deposits" area of your Control Panel to do the reconciliation.
You can log in to your GiveDirect Control Panel at any time to get a complete list of your transactions. The link to the site is https://givedirect.org/controlpanel
Yes. A custom email option is available for each form you've established.
Yes. GiveDirect is available to any nonprofit regardles of ABC or ABLC membership.
